Advent Laptop Not Starting – Window did not start successfull
my dads advent 6001 laptop seems to be having trouble starting up.
you switch it on, the advent screen comes on, then it says ‘window did not start successfully’ and you’ve got 30 secs to choose
safe mode
safe mode with networking
safe mode with command prompt
last known good config
start windows normally
i have tried all of them numerous [...] -

Desktop After Reformatting – Can’t find server or DNS Error
Whats happened to the desktop, I recently re fomatted it..twice in fact, but its very slow. I just tried to use it and a page displays the message:
Can’t find server or DNS Error

Good Pci-express Graphics Card for 250w Power Supply 450w Max
I just puchased a computer that has a nvidia 6150se built in graphics. I like to game so i would like to upgrade with a graphics card. This is my specifications according to hp:
1 PCI Express x16 slot

* Input voltage – 100-127v/8A
200-240V/4A

Any Advice on Performing "transplant" Compaq V5000
Hi all,
I have the HP (Hinge Problems) Compaq V5000 – a mess, as hinges slowly deteriorated and the duct tape/wires giving out! (lol).
Question: have access to purchase another V5000 parts unit…everything intact except HD, in great physical condition. Would it be feasible to transplant my guts into this one…any probs in disassembly…R&R procedure?
