The Key to Success?

Connecting with clients and customers while they are in the process of ordering seems to be a missing facet in most retail websites. I would like to provide a chat or IM on my website to provide a more cohesive shopping experience.

Can anyone suggest an unobtrusive, yet effective, chat program that can be imbedded into and scaled for my website?
