Windows Partition Booting Problems

Hey,

Currently I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 Laptop. I was messing around with partitions as I wanted to install Linux to a separate partition. However before I installed Linux I set my new partition as Active in the Windows XP Disk Manager. However windows XP will not boot any longer and I need to get onto windows.

I tried changing the bootflags with GParted to boot the orginial partitoin but that resulted in an error saying No bootable devices could be found.

I was just wondering if there is a way to get Windows running again without a fresh install of it. I have booted a Live version of Linux at recovered some of my files but not my Music so I want to recover my orginial XP install.

I do have access to all the files through Linux. Any ideas on what I can do?

Josh
