4200+ amd 64, 2gb ram, 320 hd, dvd, card reader, etc.

Home computer surfing web, etc. no gaming.

right now won’t start at all. fan on cpu runs and cpu gets warm, HD runs, but doesn’t cycle, no beeps from teh board, memory removed, memory in, starting it, etc. No power to keyboard, etc.

Anyway replaced Powersupply thinking issue, no change, still won’t start. I’m thinking motherboard from my reading here.

Looking to keep it cheap, this isn’t a high end piece by any means.

As noted this is a bargain fix. Not even sure if this is the issue or not yet. I know it will cost me over 100 bucks at the repair shop just to get in the door. With a motherboard i’ll be at 100 and that will be it. I’ll just buy a new computer for 300-400 to replace and go from there.
