converting to xp
hi all
have recently purchased an asus eee notebook it came with linux
preinstalled (ubuntu) , it only has 4 gig hard drive.
I was wondering If I could put xp onto a flash drive (8 gig) or an external hard drive ,and run that instead of linux
any help appreciated -

Laptop turns off automatically after hibernation

Lately my laptop turns off after i turn it back on after hibernation. It doesn’t always happen but sometimes. And just now when i turned it on after hibernation i could hear it on but the screen was just black to i had to restart it. Ive done all the spyware and virus scan etc. [...] -

Ram reusable?
I’ve just replaced the 512mb ram in Mums 1 year old Compac with 2gb. It’s now so much faster!
Could I put the 512mg in a friends 6 year old e machine pc which only has 128mb and is incredibly slow!?
