Anything connected to usb crashes xp

One of my pc’s is behaving odd. It has xp pro installed and has the intel D845GRG motherboard. Every time i plug anything into any of the 4 usb ports windows crashes back to the intel screen, and upon reboot i get the ‘windows has just recovered from a serious error’ message. [...] -
