bit more info:

on the stuff that came with the Heatsink and using the bios to control the fan to around 40C, but the difference in core temps is around 10C, Core 1 temp 50 – 53C, core 2 temp 40 – 42, what is the fault here?

used 3 different programmes and all report the same difference

running AMD Athlon X2 5200+ (windsor) on vista home premium SP1
