Basically when I turn my Laptop on, my desktop BACKGROUND loads, asin the picture – but nothing else, nope, zilch, nada..Pressing different buttons does nothing either – as well as Safe Mode..

I’m 99% sure I have a virus? I lent my LapTop to a mate so that he could record a DJ mix – I had a trial version of Sony Sound Forge audio studio on there only he decided – without telling me – that this wasn’t good enough, he wanted the full program.

So, unlike most and buying it decided to try download it from LimeWire….couldnt work out how to install it so downloaded about 12 copies and now my computer is up sh1t creek

A friend of mine said wipe it and re-install? Is that the best option? Can I rescue it? If so, how?! If not, then how do I wipe the poor bast*rd?
