Not sure if its software or hardware related but ive got a toshiba satellite A100-062 laptop with windows vista installed, at the weekend i brought a laptop usb cooler to stand it on, now when i close the lid or put it to sleep the fans on the cooler still light up and spin. The only way i can stop them is to shut down the laptop or unplug the cooler, any ideas why this is doin it, ive tried the cooler on my brothers Toshiba laptop which has XP on it and looks pritty much the same as mine and the cooler fans turns off when you close the lid, or put it to sleep.
