• External hard drive for OS X & Storage?

  Before you ask this IS different from my other thread.
  If I bought say a 500GB external hard drive and partitioned it, could I install Mac OS X on one half, and use the other half to store shared films, music etc.

  I have tried to partition my C Drive, both with Microsoft Disk Management, and a few other softwares.
  But all the time I cannot shrink more than roughly 800MB, yet I have 99.9GB Free!!
  How can I create another partition of about 40GB on it so that I can dual boot?

  there good and all that but my question is they use solid state disks ie flash cards and flash cards only have a certain amount of cycles of life until they die does this put you off buying one or not, the reason why i ask is because one of my Colleagues at work is [...]

• Dual booting Vista & OS X ??

  Apple are mean and keep their OS to themselves, meaning they can sell computers at a premium.
  But what if I bought an Apple Mac, partitioned the hard drive, could I buy and install vista or xp on he partition??
