Lack of right channel on realtek HD audio??
Hi there,
I have a strange problem with my audio……
Mainboard has a ‘Realtek 7.1 HD’ audio device, with used to work fine, but suddenly the right channel stopped working. my speakers only input with a single jack, aka 2 channel, so the rest of the plugs on the back are disabled. ive found though, that if i turn the realtek software onto 4 channel or higher, and use one of the other plugs it get a output on both channels, but stil only the right channel on my main output plug (green). i have discovered aswell, that the headphone port on the front of my machine works on both channels, it plugs directly into a header on the board, which works of the same chip. ive downloaded the latest drivers, as well as uninstalling all software and realtek sound devices in device manager, and rebooted to let windows find it and reinstall. no change. have run out of ideas now, and a quick google didnt yeild anything…..
